The Count property returns the number of characters in the collection, including paragraph breaks.

The Count property returns a read-only value.

The following code example creates paragraph text and then displays the number of characters that are in the text:

 Dim d As Document 
 Dim t As Text 
 Set d = CreateDocument 
 Set s = d.ActiveLayer.CreateParagraphText(2, 2, 8, 8, _ 
  "This is a test.")
